Dumbledore and Abelforth

Hi there!

I've been thinking about Dumbledore and Abelforth's relationship : in the 7th book , when Harry meets Abelforth he explains part of their family history. .. and at one point he says this famous phrase : secrets and lies.... that's how we grew up and Albus was a NATURAL.

Ok, and my trouble is: What was Albus a natural at? Sorry I don't really catch it. Was he a natural at telling lies ? Wasn't he a natural mind's reader ? And yes of course he told Harry some white lies or he avoided to tell harry his history but this is not the point because they had always to talk about Harry and Voldemort. No time for Albus.! I don't believe he liked to lie. .... what do you think guys ?

He wasn't exactly in a good frame of mind in his childhood years, with beliefs similar to Grindelwald's...

So Albus changed his mind (about Grindelwald ideas ) after Ariana died, and changed his way of living as well. . . But his brother Abelforth didn't forgive him anyway and kept on blaming Albus for her death , right?

I say: Couldn't he, Abelforth, be a little jealous of his brother 's might and not possible to him to move on and build a better relationship ?.. they were left alone after all.

harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Aberforth was referring to the fact that Dumbledore was a natural at lying and keeping secrets. The sentence could be looked at like this: “Albus was a natural at keeping secrets and telling lies” and/or “we grew up on secrets and lies”. The sentence in the book is those two put together.
