How did Harry not realize the handwriting in the potions book is the same handwriting he’s been reading off the board for 5 years? Is this why he isn’t in ravenclaw?

Maybe in the magical universe, everyone has identical, perfect writing? Lol XD
That wouldn't make sense, since Snape was (and has always been) a bit of a messy slob.
harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Snape 's handwriting must've changed from his old one when he became older, and more professional, especially after he became a harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/professor at harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Hogwarts. -
He usually used his harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Wand to write on the board, but I am not sure if the harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Spell uses the casters handwriting when it is cast by any of the teachers. Good question! This is just a theory.
I dont think i could recognise any of my teachers handwriting even im currently on their lessons. I just wouldnt expect such a thing. So i found this unrecognizing very possible and also writing on the boards and papers certainly differs and a persons writing style can chance in years. I changed my e's and b's at least :D
His handwriting could have easily changed in twenty years’ time - mine changes every year! I can’t even sign my nam ethe same way twice xD
He was distracted by Voldemort.
I agree with what the others said - his handwriting most likely changed over the years, at least enough not to be easily recognizable. My handwriting changed since I was a teenager as well.. it’s definitely an interesting point though.
Because his handwriting has
changed in over 20 years
That’s a good question... maybe it’s a mistake by writer... but i think others are right. It’s about changing in the time
I was also thinking maybe the handwriting he used when writing on the board was different, because the notes in the book were meant just for him, so it would be his actual handwriting. I used to teach (briefly but still) and I would always make sure whatever I’m writing on the board is 100% legible, unlike when I write stuff in my own notes, I can read my own handwriting of course but I don’t care if it’s clear or not for others .. so it’s quite different than the style of handwriting I would use when teaching. Most likely his just changed over time though ..
