Within the Order of the Phoenix toward the end we see Harry . Co fly to the ministry of magic on thestrals however it was only Harry and Luna that could see them , the others had not witnessed death so how can they fly on something they can’t see ?????

the thestrals might just follow the one another. (if harry was on the front)
I was just thinking they will struggle finding it , getting on and finding where to sit etc , seems odd

</p><p>The original Alister Moody is one of the toughest Aurors out there. Likely to have witness the death of many wizards, perhaps even killed a few who deserved it.</p><p>
</p><p>Ron and Hermione witness the death of Sirius Black, so Thestrals may be visible to them now. However Ron chose to ride broomstick.</p><p>
</p><p>Bill Wasely being a Curse Breaker, he may have witness the death of someone, either on the job, Quiddich World Cup, perhaps later on in Hogwarts Mystery or perhaps I've overlooked a death on his article.</p><p>Fleur Delacour is the least likely to have seen anyone died, but given she was riding with Bill she may have had her trust in him over an animal that was completely invisible to her.</p><p>

</p><p>As for the rest... well the only logical explanation I can go for is that during the world cup whatever happened to Fred, george and Ginny was never explained. For all we know during the chaos they may have saw a Death Eater murder a complete stranger or something.</p><p>But on the likeliness of that not being the case, Neville, Harry and Luna could of simply helped Ginny, Ron and Hermione get on their thestrals and lead them as a herd.</p>

In the book it is stated that Harry and Luna helped the others onto theirs. Harry is even noted thinking to himself how odd it must feel for the others to be flying on something they can’t see
Yes, 👆🏼what they said. Ron also comments about how weird it was when they touch down next to the Visitors entrance at Ministry in London.
Maybe they can feel it and didn't bother to fly on something they can't see
