you have good points i guess but i think you definitely do need to be cautious because it's undeniably weird (at least i hope no one would think otherwise) for an adult to have a crush on a fictional minor, because again, that transfers to real life; if an adult has a crush on a fictional minor, they'd have a crush on them if they were a real person, and it goes to farther extents

also just to point out messages don't have to be sexual to be inappropriate, as grooming often isn't sexual at first because it leads up to it. not saying that's what he's doing BUT i've been groomed before and he def gives those vibes especially if he's thirsting over a character who was in the age range of 11-17 for the series
