How do you think Teenage Pregnancy is dealt with in the Wizarding World?

Some of you might be put off by this subject but I think it is something that should be considered. Wizards may have powers and abilities Muggles can only dream of, but at the end of the day they're still human beings and a situation like this could potentially present itself.

So, in the event a teenage witch ends up getting pregnant while at wizarding school (make up your own mind as to the circumstances as I'm sure some of them may be similar to a muggle world equivalent), how do you think it would be dealt with - both by the school and by their parents/guardians?

Same as in Muggle Society. Just that... further measures may be taken. Obviously, there aren't enough rules.

Well, for one thing, I would imagine that magical contraception is much more effective than muggle contraception. Maybe the witch could take a potion before they do the deed, or the wizard could cast protego.

As for what happens if they fail to do that and get pregnant, I don’t know. I’m sure that magical methods of abortion exist, but wizards are at least 100 years behind us in their societal views. Abortion may still be frowned upon in magical society. If the Wizengamot has had their own Roe v Wade type case, then most teen witches would probably get a quick abortion from Madame Pomfrey and nothing more would be said about it.

If a witch can’t or won’t get an abortion, then they would have to give birth to the child. Hogwarts doesn’t seem to have any infrastructure to handle young children, so the witch would have to either send the baby home to be raised by her parents, or drop out of school. In an ideal world, there would also be the possibility of the wizard dropping out of school to raise the baby, but that wouldn’t even be likely to happen in our more enlightened world.

We don't have any cannon example of such a case except harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Merope_Riddle who was 19 when she got pregnant and we know the result(she died in the process, although the situation was not ideal for her), so I assume teenage pregnancy is not really safe in wizarding world as well and is often discouraged.

However providing ideal condition may abort this belief as Lily survived even though she was close to teen when she got pregnant.

So, in the wizarding world such a child either gets aborted or accepted.

Well the Marauders map does show 2 pairs of feet in a hidden corner of Hogwarts. What are they up to? As for teen pregnancy, I'm sure if it was reality, the same issues would occur as in the real world.
