Honestly, I agree with Blade. I doubt she’d portray herself in such a negative way(ie having Harry be annoyed with her), and I doubt it would be written the way it was if it was actually her that wrote it. Considering her pieces in GoF, I think that she’d have exaggerated it and embellished it a lot more, and make her spying and stalking habits look a lot better then they were.

Nice thinking! It would be interesting if the character Rita Skeeter is actually based on herself. I mean like Rita Skeeter and JK Rowling are both good writers. Rita Skeeter was known as the Queen of Quills in Harry Potter stories and JK Rowling successfully written the complete set of Harry Potter books. You really do have to think outside the box to link these two people together.

There is an easy, if dangerous, way to test this theory. There is very little magic that muggles can do, but there is one thing we should be capable of. A basilisk is created when a chicken’s egg is hatched by a toad. If anybody here has access to fertile chicken’s eggs, a toad, and a blindfold, you should be able to determine if the wizarding world is real and get back to us.
