- Lupin, actually gave a crap about his students, taught in a way that made it fun for them - Moody, evidently very knowledgeable about the dark arts, has kind of a hard attitude towards students - Snape, knowledgeable about the Dark Arts although doesn’t teach in a way that helps most of his students. Very evidently doesn’t seem to give a crap about most of his students and just there because Dumbledore wanted to give him a chance. Questionable if he deserved it, really - Quirrel, knows at least some stuff about the Dark Arts, kind of shy & doesn’t really stick up for students. So bad at actually performing them that he got possessed - Lockhart, just there to boost his ego. The only Dark Arts experience he has is from plagiarism, and it is apparent that that isn’t much. Probably the only Hogwarts teacher who actually would’ve gotten into a pedophilic relationship while at the school, and ironically got what he deserved at the end of the year - Umbridge, just has students reading from the books, basically wastes their year by not letting them get hands-on practice. Also has a kink for students bleeding, shows this a bit too often during detention. Questionable how much she knows about the Dark Arts
