Room of Requirement boundaries

If Harry walked into the Room of Requirement thinking, “I want to speak to my dead parents,” would there be a way the room could provide that? If that it what Harry absolutely NEEDED, could there be a way? Or would that just cross the room’s boundaries?

Thoughts on that?

I don't think thats how it works. It probably wouldn't appear if that was what Harry was thinking. But I don't know. I'm just guessing.

I think the Room of Requirement works similar to a "search engine" of sorts, with the Room of Hidden Things (a state of the Room of Requirement) serving as it's database of things it can provide. The Room of Requirement is also capable of self-reconstruction and could perhaps connect to Hogwarts plumbing as Dumbledore once recalled a time he really needed the loo and found a restroom he was not familiar with.

I imagine if Harry really wanted to talk to his dead parents via the room, the room will probably just give him the Mirror of Erised to look into. Harry would not have specifically stated some means to talk to them spiritually or if they could talk back at all.

And that is pressuming the Mirror of Erised was returned into storage after HP&tPS and not relocated elsewhere or else the room will not be able to provide best results for Harry's desires.

The Room of Requirement is subject the same laws all magic is subject to (eg: it cannot produce food due to the five principle exceptions of Gamp's law of elemental transfiguration), and thus it is unlikely it would be able to provide Harry with a way to contact the dead. At least, not properly.

What I am curious of is... if Dumbledore once did find the Room of Requirement and used it as a restroom, with toilets actually connecting to the plumbing of Hogwarts, does that mean the RoR could be used as an alternative entrance to the Chamber of Secrets? The Basilisk used the pipes in the wall to get around Hogwarts so if not a direct entrance to the Chamber then at least an entrance to one of these pipes.

Ooooooh!

Then likely the Room can only resize and decorate itself with whatever is stored in the Room of Hidden Things.

But the RoR did once had a passage to the Hog's Head Inn once, so maybe the RoR could make passageways elsewhere?
