I just read in an article that the Harry Potter series is the most banned book in the United States because of religious purposes?!? Thoughts?
What are you talking about? Witchcraft wasn’t a brutal part of our history, because there is no such thing as witchcraft. The witch hunts were a brutal part of our history, but that isn’t why the books are banned.
The books are banned because there are some religious nutjobs who will start a moral panic over anything. It used to be about Dungeons and Dragons or Satanism in schools. Some teachers were actually fired for allegedly promoting Satanism. Obviously they weren’t actually promoting Satanism, because that’s stupid, but the people who start these kinds of panics aren’t known for their critical thinking skills.
Of course not. And these aren’t government bans. The government doesn’t have the right to ban any book. These are religious schools and stuff like that that are banning the books. Back in the day, there used to be stories about people burning copies of the books.
Hi IAM saqib shah
These people don’t really want to promote educational books. They’re the same kind of people who want to ban teaching evolution in schools.
