I think if you fouls it dead and you drink from it. That would be gross. And you’ll be more like a vulture. I not sure you’ll get the full benefits or get some weird side effects instead. If you see all the animals that eat dead flesh. They have a weird look about them. So I figured you will get som weird side effects too.

The fact that the Unicorn has been killed to satisfy someone's needs is an act evil enough for anyone to live a cursed life who happen to drink the blood regardless he killed it or not.

Let's say, I killed a Unicorn but didn't drink it's blood. Will I be cursed? No. Because I haven't drank the blood.

The curse comes into affect only when the blood touches someone's lips. I wonder what would happen if someone accidentally drinks it?
