Honestly, all new theories kind of popped up during Voldy's time.

1. Killing curse backfired

2. Hallows actually existed.

3. Twin cores of wands didn't work

4. Harry's wand imbibed magic from Voldy's wand.

5. Trelawney's predictions came true.

@Newt Strike I agree with you but I think it's funny that Voldy died from a spell used by first years. 😂

Watching Voldy confused with the new types of magic is like watching the elderly muggles dealing with advanced technology. 😄

It would be interesting if there was a spin-off series of Voldy trying different methods to kill Harry. For example, Voldy going to his mother's ways and using Amortentia to get Harry obsessed with him but it doesn't work/ another student takes the potion.

Well if voldy just wanted to kill off Harry like that without using magic, there were way to many options. From the top of my head..

Slice his throat

Smash him

Throw him from heights

And many many ways.

But the thing is no one has survived the death curse and it was the most reliable method of killing witches and wizards. Harry was the first to survive it.

So when you call voldy stupid using death curse, I think you are under estimating many others reasons that actually prove that he was kinda careless and in a way "stupid".

I said he was stupid because he could have throw him out the window and make it look like a mistake but no he has to use magic because voldy always needs to use magic
