Snape was better than James.(IMO)

Snape, snap, snapitty snape

Well my thoughts is

They were both bullies one upon a time

James later chose the right path

Snape chose the wrong one

James defied Voldemort 3 times

Snape willingly joined Voldemort

James died for his family

Snape died, doing his best to protect what Lily died for.

Snape also helped Harry a lot but so would have James if he had lived.

So I choose James.

Neither. Both have done some very serious mistakes.

James bullied Snape allowing him to join Voldy.

Snape on the other hand insulted Lily which made James To Bully Him.

But

James along with Lily Sacrificed their life For Harry.

And Snape was the secret protector for Harry all his life and never made Harry realized that he was protecting him until his death

I think James.

James did bully snape during school as well as others, but that was an act he thought made him the 'cool kid' and honestly thought dueling and showing off would impress Lily. Snape is different from the others I really don't think James is an angel he agree he was a bit of a git but he grew out of it. James did bully Snape but Snape bullied right back, instead of just telling his head of house or another teacher even walk away he instead would duel back. Now James would use spells like say, Rictumsempra (I think I spelled that wrong) when Snape would use dark magic instead as well as his own spells like sectumsempra. In their fifth year I believe it was Snape would spy on the marauders determined to find out where they went every month so he could get them in trouble to the point where he would threaten Sirius until he finally snapped and told Snape. In fifth year as well, we go to 'Snapes worst memory' where they used Levicorpus to hang him upside down revealing his undergarments when Lily tried to help he called her a mudblood which a lot of people would say he did so because he was agitated though that is no excuse when that is what he calls every other muggleborn. James would never, ever do that. Snape joined the death eaters. James joined the order. I believe James acted like a git or 'toe rag' to hide his insecuritys which only his parents and fellow marauders knew about. James had it as hard as Snape. His parents died sometime before Harry was born to dragonpox. A lot of friends and family died with the start of the war like Marlene McKinnon. Snape was the half-blood Slytherin who didn't really have any friends lived in a bad area called spinners end and worked in the dark arts. Let's see what you guys think of Snape now. A big thing with his is most choose to forget that when he found out about the prophecy he told Voldemort then found out he thought it was the Potters and first asked Dumbledore to ONLY save Lily basically just not caring if James and Harry died not caring how Lily would feel after that then when Dumbledore confronted him about it said to save them all.
