I'm pretty sure Snape was once evil, at least evil enough to use dark spells on muggleborns and give an excuse that it was "just for fun". And yes I know he changed (to an extent).

I'm not saying all Slytherines are evil(they certainly are not)I'm saying Snape may not be the best option to prove that.
