I have some very exciting news: The Harry Potter Wiki is now officially launching a Discord server and a Twitter Account! We believe that this is the best time to do it considering we are going through rough times. It took a lot of hard work, but it was definitely worth it! You can now chat with all of your Potterhead friends in a new, fun way!
The Twitter Account will post wiki updates, post happy birthday wishes to characters, post Wizarding World news, host fun competitions, and much more!
The Discord server has a verification process to make sure that only Harry Potter Wiki registered members have access to the channels. We wouldn't want a random troll coming in and harassing our members.
In order to be verified, you must:
Join the server and follow the instructions given to you in "#Welcome".
Post a link to your Harry Potter Wiki Fandom account in "#Verification" so the moderators can verify that you are a member of the wiki.
You must have the "Verified" role to gain access to the rest of the channels. Without this role, you can only see the welcoming channel, the verification channel and the rules channel. The moderators will give you this role once you have been verified.
Cases where we won't verify a user:
The user has no contributions to the Harry Potter Wiki (Discussions posts, edits, etc).
The user is blocked on the Harry Potter Wiki (or globally blocked).
The user doesn't post a link to their profile in the verification channel.
The Discord will be moderated by certain Harry Potter Wiki Staff. The current administrators for the server are Harrypotterexpert101 and Reverb frost. They will deal with the day-to-day tasks of verification, cleaning up spam, enforcing rules, etc.
