It says Obliviate in film and unknown charm in books.

People it WASN'T OBLIVIATE!!! obliviate completely removes someone's memory. Hermione SPECIFICALLY states that she MODIFIED her parent's memories. Also, later on, in the cafe, Hermione says that she had NEVER done Obliviate before.

"I've also modified my parents' memories so that they're convinced they're really called Wendell and Monica Wilkins"-Chapter Six

"You're the boss" said Ron, sounding profoundly relieved. "But I've never done a Memory Charm."

"Nor have I," said Hermione, "but I know the theory."

She took a deep, calming breath, then pointed her wand at Dolohov and said, "Obliviate."

The only reason they even say obliviate in the movies is because the book wasn't talking about her when she did that and the movie makers probably didn't want to have to add a huge spell to the script when Harry and Ron probably wouldn't care about what spell it was anyway. And unless you plan on modifying someone's memories, I'm not so sure it matters.
