It would be insensitive to call it terrible. But confusing isn't really offensive. It's just how one subjectively experienced the story.

My biggest issues with the cursed child were

1) The time travel: With the rules established in PoA there should be no such things as alternate timelines (I generally don't like time travel however I tolerate it if creators stick to their own rules which was not the case here)

2) How can Cedric Diggory, the most stereotypical Hufflepuff ever, become a death eater??? I get that he was humiliated but it makes no sense whatsoever that that would drive him to join Voldy. They did his character dirty in CC

And the Trolley Witch? What in the hecking heck was that all about?

It contradicts canon, the characterisations of established characters were off, Harry Potter tells his youngest son he wishes he'd (Albus) never been born, that cringefest with the blanket (also, why would Petunia keep that?), Cedric inflating, Bellatrix literally didn't have time to have a baby and Voldemort was 70 at the time, and the queerbaiting with Albus and Scorpius.

Here is why I'm confused about it (no offense was meant):

1. Bellatrix and Voldemort have a daughter. That really weirded me out because of the age gap.

2. They ruined the characters.

3. Delphini is grown up and Ron thought that Albus and Delphini were together. USE YOUR BRAIN RON!

4. Cedric isn't a jealous person. He was going to let Harry win the Triwizard Tournament. Why would he become evil?

5. The trolly witch part weirded me out. A lot.

6. It wasn't entirely canon.

7. Scorpius doesn't even look like Tom Riddle before the Horcruxes. And he looks exactly like Draco. Why would people think he's Voldy's son? Use your brains!

8. It doesn't really make sense.

Because the plot is hot garbage.

I liked it but I didnt like how it was written in script form. But its definitely not my favorite out of the books
