Voldemort's death

When Voldemort's spell had rebounded in the last battle with Harry , in the books he had been killed and his body lay there in the great hall apart from the bodies of Remus, Tonks, Fred and others.

But in the movies he had just vanished . It seemed a bit unrealistic as the killing curse just kills not destroys your body.

But it gave a very good effect in the movie as it had a bit different ending. When Voldemort was killed I was like " OMG , everything has ended. "

But what do you think , does Voldemort's vanishing body was a good effect or it was better in the books??

No, I think they should have just let him die like everyone else because it was supposed to signify he was only human

Yeah I didn't like the 'Thanos' ending either. By flaking away it didn't necessarily show that Voldemort was conclusively dead once and for all. For all we know he could come back (hey it happened in Endgame lol) As they say "Never count a human as dead until you see his body"

I also think the movie death minimized the importance of what Voldys death means. Many people were terrified of him but to see him lying dead reminds you that he's only human.

I'm not saying it is Endgame. I understand that their laws of death are completely different. I'm using it to compare how flaking deaths do not feel conclusive (in my mind at least). In Infinity War, when everyone was dusted we all knew that they would return. Going off of that, I had that same feeling when Voldy was dusted. I know he's not coming back but from the pov of a movie character without the body it's hard to say for sure that he's 100% dead as he was able to return before. Anyways, I think it was a poor decision on the filmmakers part and that they should've just stuck with the book's much simpler ending.

I love coming up with canon-sounding reasons for things, so here's one I'm coming up with on the spot, for Voldemort turning to dust.

Consider that when Voldemort dies, he does not possess his original born body, but his resurrection conjured body. That body is just magic. Extremely complex and tangible, but magic nonetheless. I think that when the wizard who created this body died (yes I'm gonna count Voldemort as that wizard and not Wormtail, since he was just following orders), the magic that created the body died too, and so the body disintegrated.
