This isn't in the books but its something I hate about muggles who haven't read/watched Harry Potter.

I hate how much hate we get because it's 'witchcraft' and 'magical'. I lost a friend because she thought I was some voodoo master who killed people and summoned demons (I'm not) it a good thing I never told her I was a Shadowhunter book fan. She would have really freaked. But so many people don't get that it's not real in that sense. If we say Avada Kedavra were not actually killing people. And what really drives me nuts is that the books she says are fine have magic in them. (Lord of the rings, The chronicles of Narnia) but it's fine because they don't say it's magic unless it's bad magic. Well LOTR has people smoking weed how is that better.

@Enchanting Hufflepuff This is why I try to not really bring the subject of Potter in front of my more religious characters. I certainly do not join in the occult (it is against my code of honour), But i do still love Potter. In fact i think Star Wars have more supernatural themes because the Force is littelary a force of nature that some people treat almost like some kind of religion. And let’s not talk about golden compass where GOD is potrayed as evil.

@Pottahead208 I didn't have much of a choice. I do a thing which is kinda like social time and school for homeschoolers. There are many people there who love Harry including the youth pastor at the church we used to hold this at. I have a lot of Harry Potter stuff like a hollows charm necklace I put a bagder on, backpack, pencil case, all sorts of things. And it was just my friend who had a problem. My crush was going to read but his father said no despite his mom saying yes.
