Keep Harry’s maternal grandparents alive
Maybe Lupin and Tonks should get together earlier and Teddy should be born earlier too. In 1997 before Dumbledore’s death. I know this could impact the storyline of Tonks’s powers suffering, but Dumbledore also apparently dropped the hint of this during his second private lesson with Harry when Dumbledore said this to Harry about Merope Gaunt: ”It is also possible that her unrequited love and the attendant despair sapped her of her powers. That can happen.”
Harry’s maternal grandparents should be alive, they live across the street from the Dursleys and they raise Harry while he’s still a baby but when he gets older and can walk and talk, the Dursleys take him in because they fear the grandparents will tell him about his heritage. The grandparents would be John and Sarah Evans.
Scrap House Points, House Cup and maybe the Quidditch Cup too because it’s a little unfair for students not to win any of the cups in their seven years of schooling and also because of Snape’s bad way of docking house points. Also like this Harry can lash out at Snape and be angry at him as much as he wants. It would also be great for Harry to threaten Snape with magic or give him a good kick in the shins.
Make the uniform exactly like in the movie
I would also add several bits from the movies that never happened in the books:
Harry protecting Hermione from Lupin in his werewolf form before Buckbeak saves them
Dumbledore’s Army doing detention in the Great Hall with Umbridge’s Quills and getting their hands scarred
I’d make Zacharias Smith, Cormac McLaggen and Romilda Vane the nice people they are in the movie; and I’d put Romilda in the same year as Harry, Ron and Hermione
I also want to add characters who appeared in the movies, but not in the books, like Bem, Fay Dunbar, Fay Dunbar’s friend and Nigel Wolpert
Azkaban shouldn’t have a burial ground and instead there should be more magical cemeteries in Britain
Characters
Add an older brother and younger sister for Cedric Diggory
Add a twin boy and girl in Slytherin and in the trio’s year and are nice and don’t believe in blood purity. One parent is in Slytherin and one in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. This is a good way to show that not all Slytherins are bad. They also become Prefects in their fifth year instead of Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson.
Add 1 more girl in the Weasley family: Rachel. Only one girl and six boys in a family could be a little difficult for a girl. Also, the fact that there were no girls born for several generations into the Weasley family sounds a bit ridiculous; Which is why I’d scrap the “Molly desperately wanted a daughter” bit and so Arthur and Molly continue having children until Ginny comes along.So it could go like this: Bill: November 29 1970, Charlie: December 12 1972, Percy: August 22 1976, Fred and George: April 1 1978, Rachel: March 15 1979, Ron: March 10 1980 and Ginny: August 11 1981 (But if Ron and Ginny were born the same year, it should be August 11 1980 and Draco and Luna should also be born that same month and year as well, Luna on the 13th and Draco on the 27th)
Add three new characters in Neville’s family: A paternal uncle of Neville, thus Frank Longbottom’s brother, the uncle’s wife and their son, who is in the same year as Neville at Hogwarts
Snape should be a little better at teaching because he is not at all a proper teacher and should accept that Harry isn’t arrogant or attention seeking or delighted to be famous like his father JameS
Dumbledore should be a little more competent as Headmaster and has strict rules, including for Snape.
Sirius steps in and physically attacks Snape for unfairness and doing bad things to Harry, Ron, Hermione and other non-Slytherins.
Have Professor Binns be alive, younger and the Head of Slytherin House instead of a Snape

Lockhart should be a good guy and a good teacher and not a fraud or a narcissist because there's really no excuse for Dumbledore hiring him, knowing full well that Lockhart is a fake, solely to expose him as a fraud when he could just as easily have just...told someone. A newspaper, the Ministry. Anyone. Dumbledore is one of the most respected wizards in the world; people would definitely take his word over Lockhart's. So, when the teachers tell Lockhart he can deal with the monster and he leaves the staffroom, Harry and Ron decide to go into the Chamber with him and he gladly offers to help.Also, Lockhart should be a married man and say to the class he’ll teach for one year and then go back to his married life with his wife.
Prisoner of Azkaban
The Time-Turner scene can still happen with Harry and Hermione releasing then take him into the Forest and take him back to the Hippogriff herd in the paddock. Sirius’s name is cleared straight away at the end of the year and then Sirius flies away on Buckbeak. But somehow I would also scrap the Time-Turner because:
Time travelling would cause you to age up the amount of time you had gone back to, meaning Hermione would’ve had to age random hours throughout the year and then one last time along with Harry who does so the first and only time, ageing 3 hours.
Time travelling has too much danger and could cause such horrible consequences
Which is why, the trio could release Buckbeak before they meet Sirius and hide Buckbeak in the Forest or put him back in the Hippogriff herd and hide him there safely.
Goblet of Fire
Amos Diggory should wear glasses like in the movie and instead of a full beard, I’d give him a beard going round his mouth
Binns is sympathetic towards Hermione about teeth and he slaps Snape, then McGonagall. Then both Harry and Malfoy get detention.
The students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang come earlier than October 30; September 1 or September 2
Order of the Phoenix
Reduce the number of Harry’s detentions with Umbridge, make them only once during the moments she gives them and the scars on his hand should somehow fade
Lockhart, Amos Diggory, his wife and Ludo Bagman join the Order of the Phoenix
Neville’s cousin and Rachel join the trip to the Department of Mysteries to “rescue” Sirius
Half-Blood Prince
Omit Draco's attack on Harry on the train. Instead, Draco confronts Harry either on the platform after getting off the train or in the Great Hall after dinner on the first night back and then he and Harry physically fights and then Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Rachel, Neville, and Luna come to Harry’s aid and Ron retaliates by hitting Draco's jaw, Ginny pushing him to the ground, Neville’s cousin and Rachel pulling his ears, Neville twisting his arm and Hermione and Luna slapping him.
There should be a memory of Caractacus Burke’s where we would see Merope selling him Salazar Slytherin’s locket.
Maybe put more memories of Voldemort during Harry and Dumbledore’s private lessons and expand Morfin Gaunt’s by showing Voldemort killing his father and grandparents
Deathly Hallows
Fred, Ted Tonks and Charity Burbage shouldn’t die.
Harry shouldn’t lose his Firebolt in the Battle of the Seven Potters
Have Harry bring back more loved ones with the Resurrection Stone: Cedric, Moody, Dobby and Tonks.
Change Dumbledore’s past a bit. His father attacks the Muggle boys physically and without magic, the family moves to Godric’s Hollow, Dumbledore is a little more caring to his siblings since his parents say that family is more important than trophies and prizes, Percival dies when Albus is 14 in April 1896 and Kendra in June 1899 or in 1900, 1901 or 1902 then Grindelwald comes, is friends with Dumbledore for barely than two months and then, there happens the duel where Ariana is accidentally killed.
Harry and Ginny have 4 children instead of 3. Albus and an extra girl are twins
