Not just you, I really don’t understand the love for the character
I agree with Mel, I think the movies (and Tom Felton) made Draco look better than he was in the books
I think most people only like him for his looks, because he is a really mean, attention seeking prat.
Seriously is the only reason people like him is because he is hot?!
I dont like him at all and I am not gay so I cant and wont share those same feelings
@Jace Moon I agree
I like Draco. Not because of his looks, and he WAS very mean, but it was he's father fault, he had no choice. His character improved very much through the series
He is an overrated jerk. People only like him cuz of Tom felton
Oh and i just saw someone saying that draco had no choice but i wanna add something:
Harry had no choice either, he was forced to fight with the darkest wizard of all time when he was only 11 and he still managed to be kinder than draco. I agree that draco had a hard time but that doesn't give him a right to be so mean to others with no reason when he was younger (for example: HAGRID AND BUCKBEAK!) (oh and btw i know i sound like a harry lover here but i really don't like harry :D)
@Nargles.exist Yes Harry had no choice and was kinder but I don't think this is a fair comparison. At all. Their situations are sooo tremendously different that you can't just say Draco should have been like Harry. First of all Draco comes from a place of "enouragement". He is valued at home, spoiled no doubt and sheltered and loved. He is tought to hate in this environment. Harry on the other hand was the victim of hatred all his life, making it much harder to put others through that. Besides nobody ever told Harry to hate anyone, let alone people he loved and needed. However you can clearly see that through Ron and Hagrid he makes up his mind about Slytherin being evil, which means he's just as easily manipulated as Draco. The difference being that Draco has been tought that for 11 years straight before going to Hogwarts.
What do you think?
