I do not get why people ship drarry
I was gonna write a post on that
I don't understand it either
Maybe because of Tom Felton
Well haters to lovers trope, we have sad emo boi, heroXvillain, Tom Felton seems to be physically attractive to some, they are a bit fixated on each other, especially in the books, Dracos family would provide soooo much juicy conflict, Harrys knowledge about muggles could make it a bit funny, and their past could make for a very intense relationship (both being hothead and very passionate about things they want)
Hold on, I'll type some long reply in a sec
I won't as long as the reason you don't ship is because you ship drapple.
I completely agree. I mean the two always hated eachother, why would they be interested in a romantic relationship with eachother?
I AGREE PEACH IDK WHY THEY SHIP IT
I mean we could just let them ship in Peace, right? We don't have to understand everything to not question everything someone else does
Neither do I. Drapple makes much more sense to me. Although, we should respect each other's opinions!
Yeah idk, I guess they could think so because of Harry’s obsession with draco on HBP but that was for a different reason than liking him. But it’s an excuse and there’s no proof that draco being a death eater was the only reason for Harry’s obsession but based on their relation throughout the series Im going to conclude that I does not make sense. Plz don’t hate me...
This is not meant as an insult to anyone or anything, and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with doing this either, but I've found that many people (mostly girls) will ship a slash pairing for no other reason than because it's a slash pairing because they find it appealing. Also, the enemies-to-lovers trope is very appealing to many shippers as well. This is why so many people ship Drarry. Again, not saying there's anything wrong with it, nor am I trying to insult the ship or the shippers, just explaining my experience with such things. I personally find Drarry to be a very toxic ship, and I'd feel the same if it was boy/boy, girl/girl, or boy/girl. There are times where the enemies-to-lovers trope indeed works very well, but this is not one of them.
What do you think?
