Why don’t werewolves just go to a different continent/time zone where it’s still morning or it’s not the full moon so that they don’t turn into a wolf? Would that work?

I mean... once a month.. and with magical means of travel it can’t be too hard.
Umm, what about sleep? I guess sleeping is not a problem in the harry potter series
Very good point 🤔
Hmm, according to the wiki:
"A werewolf, also known as a lycanthrope,[1] is a human being who, upon the complete rising of the full moon, becomes an uncontrollable, fearsome and deadly wolf. This condition is caused by infection with lycanthropy, also known as werewolfry.[2]"
So as CHT said, unless there's another important factor it could work tbh.

Now, to answer your question, it'd be tiring to go back and forth time zones. I guess they think it's better to face the night alone somewhere transforming rather than going to different time zones to avoid the moon. Also, I think it's best facing the day than to take so much effort, going away somewhere cuz it'd be too much stress for them.
In theory it should.
Well they can also take the Bus Wolfsbane potion...
Is it ever directly stated anywhere that the full moon itself is what causes the transformation? I was under the impression that the magic part of it was that the transformation always coincided with the full moon.
^In PoA, Lupin transformed when the moon came out from behind the clouds, I think (unless that was just the movies, I don't remember)
That was just the movie, in the book, the moon simply came out.
What do you think?
