Ah yes, because wanting to know reasons is such a horrible thing to do.
So what makes them better together is being bullied? Neville and Hermonine could both work then. Neville was also bullied by Draco and Snape because of him not being so great at almost everything.
Ron also felt like he was to average to stand out among his family. He felt like he was second best to a lot of people. Ron was bullied to, an dI’d say it was the same as Harry and Hermione. The Slytherins wrote a song about how bad he was. That’s pretty extreme.
Ginny and Harry also share experiences with Voldemort and they talk about a few times.
Yes, Harry and Hermione might (and did) feel isolated, but why does that make them compatible? That just points out the similarities. What makes them work in terms of personalities?
Like I think Harry and Ginny work because Harry wants (and partially needs) to be with somebody who he will have fun with, and isn’t to emotional. Hermione like spending time in library and while that is pretty fun, Harry doesn’t like it. Harry likes Quidditch, and guess what? Ginny plays Quidditch while Hermione can’t understand it. Hermione is an emotional person. I think Harry thought Ginny was rarely weepy but I can’t remember. Ginny and Harry are both individualists, and they seem fine with breaking rules. Hermione trusts authority figures a lot and doesn’t like breaking rules when she can help it. Harry seems prefers somebody with a sense of humor over somebody who is serious all the time. No matter how much you hate Ginny’s humor, Harry still likes it.
JKR stuck to her original plot. She started it off as person reasons and stuck to it. Ok? She was the one who crafted the story around those personal reasons. I thought all writing was sticking to something you set up and not throwing something random in. Huh.
