Yeahh I mean I like fantasy, it’s just that I started reading when I was a lot younger and one time I picked up a Harry Potter book, read a few chapters or so, and closed it. It may just be because I was a little too young for that still and I didn’t just understand it but yeah unfortunately it was a Harry Potter one so I’ll get to reading it and I hope I’ll like it too

I was too young and had a short attention span when the book came out. I didn't quite like the idea of sitting down to read at that age, haha. My Mum said I was too busy causing havoc around the house! Eventually, you get older and more mature with the patience to start reading. I was 9 when I started to read my first HP book and never stopped since. The good thing was that I wasn't the type of kid who only preferred books with pictures. I didn't mind thick books with endless words in it. I just used my imagination which is much more fun! 😁

My sister was a huge fan. At first, I didn't feel like reading it because it was pictureless and I was more of the down-to-earth type, not like the 'fantasy-ish' type. But when I finally got the patience to read a few Chapters of PoA, I loved it so much and saw how wrong I was

Geronimo Stilton (mainly, but also Thea Stilton after i discovered it) got me to like reading around the age of 7-8

I think COVID is causing a lot of people to relive their Harry Potter phases, myself included.

I think its a combination of:

• New contributions to the franchise (stage play, Fantastic Beasts movies, JKR dropping trivia, video games)

• Covid-19 (more time to read)

• The kids of the first generation of fans are reaching adolescence and getting in to the books their parents loved
