Later that night…
Slytherin Dorm
Draco lies in his bed, trying to get to sleep, but failing every single time.
He can’t believe what happened with Jadis, and he can’t stop thinking about her.
Draco (thinking): Sure. I’m playing her, but I feel awful about it. I guess I am getting a soft spot for her though.
Draco turns in his bed and then sits up.
Draco (thinking): I can’t take this anymore. I have to tell her the truth.
He lies back down in his bed, torn between choosing his father over Jadis.
Earlier that day…
Draco sat on his bed, thinking about Jadis. All he could think about was her eyes, her smile, the way she laughed- all of it.
Draco (thinking): She certainly is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
A thump sounds from outside. Near his window.
He crosses the room and opens the room to find an owl perched on the ledge.
He takes the note that is held in its beak and the owl flies away, relieved of its burden.
Draco is scrolled on the front of the letter.
He opens the letter and a hastily written letter falls to the ground.
He picks it up and turns it over so that he can read it.
It reads;
Draco, I know how accustomed you are to not listening to me, but listen. Son, you’re going to have to stop seeing this Jadis Snape.
I know, I know, you might not want to, but you have to. Trust me.
Draco (thinking): How can I trust him? How can I trust anyone?
Later…
In the Slytherin common room, Draco sits by the fire, his Quidditch robes draped over an armchair.
Pansy enters the room and Draco groans inwardly.
The last thing he wants is Pansy being there while he makes up his mind.
Pansy (notices Draco): Oh, hey!
Draco (stands up): I was just leaving, so I’ll just go.
Pansy (cheerful): Okay.
Draco (thinking): That went better than I had expected.
Pansy walks out of the Slytherin common room and into the dorms.
Draco walks into the hall outside the entryway and finds Jadis with Harry, laughing.
He feels jealous to see them together, but he knows that it probably doesn’t mean anything.
Draco walks away, and Jadis excuses herself from the conversation her and Harry were having.
She runs up to Draco and Draco pulls her aside, making sure that no one can see them.
Jadis (worried by Draco’s expression): What is it?
Draco (sighs and lets go of Jadis): Just, oh- I need to tell you something.
Jadis: What?
Draco: I-
Unknown: Draco? What are you doing with that dirty Half-Blood?
Draco whirls around to find Pansy staring at them.
Jadis shrinks out of the picture as Pansy steps up to Draco.
Pansy (suspiciously): What were you doing with her?
Draco: N-nothing. Nothing at all.
Jadis (hurt): Oh.
Draco (suddenly braver): You know what, Pansy? I’m fed up about you drooling all over me. If you really want to know, I’m in love with her. Yes. You heard me right. I love her, and nothing you say or do will change that.
Pansy is shocked but holds her tongue. She walks away, glancing back at Draco once or twice.
Jadis looks at Draco with shock as well.
Draco blushes and leans against the wall, messing with his hair while he thinks.
Jadis (whispering): Oh my gosh that’s so hot.
Draco overhears Jadis and keeps on messing with his hair.
Jadis grins and puts her hand on top of his to make him stop.
He grabs her wrist, and pulls her closer to him.
Jadis giggles and lets him kiss her slowly…
But someone is watching…
Who wants to put an end to all of it.
That's all for today! I'm gonna go to bed! Mischief managed everyone, and goodnight, sleep tight, and don't let Kreacher bite!!
