I disagree with half of that statement- yes, let’s just all admit it, Dobby wouldn’t qualify for any beauty contest... but, while his grammar wasn’t the best, Dobby was, hands-down, a hero.
Regarding Dobby, I agree he isn't Prince Charming but he's not completely stupid. Before Harry, he was under slavery and was forced to be a certain way and house-elves find punishing themselves very normal. So, he did kind of annoy me at first but he eventually learned to ease up and showed some normality.
