A post about J K Rowling is considered an off-topic post?
A post about J K Rowling is considered an off-topic post?
Don’t say that to me, please. (I’m saying in a polite way, not in a cold one). It tempts me
But seriously, if I were an author of a prestigious series of books, and something similar happened, well, I would lose it.
In which way that was rude?
Sorry I missed a few words in the middle heh-
Anyways, it's their choice and opinion on what they want to post and it doesn't violate the Guidelines we can't stop them since they do have freedom to post. If the post or the replies violate any rules it'll be locked :)
She was rude. She knew the consequences and she went through with it. If you said something like she did, I wouldn't hesitate to backlash at you. Because what she did was wrong, and I have never seen a trans person support her (only cis people have defended her, from what I've seen), and it's different when you're in the group being attacked. She doesn't deserve death threats, but she deserves to know the consequences of her actions. Because if there's no consequences, famous people will be able to do anything they want, and that's not right.
Sir memes I edited that out because what I wrote first was not what I wanted to say. English is my second language
The post isn’t about what she said, it would be about how fast she lost control of her creation and that I think that’s a pity. The good thing, though, it’s that I’ve learned to be extremely careful with the words. However, I’m not keen on political correction
Generally it's not OT but I personally really hate them because they always lead to arguing and oftentimes there are some who start defending her views and. Tbh It's just tiring
Yeah we already had an argument today
Any time her name comes up people start arguing and accusing others of transphobia and its just not fun
Right, now I don't want this post to turn into another post on JKR.
Yes, you can make one, but transphobia will not be tolerated in anyway shape or form.
Since you've more else already understood, the issue is assumed to be solved and I'm locking the post.
