The main thing I dislike is the large amount of wank HP fans put on their characters. They are actually kind of weak compared to some others

Well, obviously I have a problem with Rowlings mentality.
I'm also not a fan of the ending (Idk, just too boomer cookie cutter for me)
Far too little healthy representation not just of poc but also of queer people. I mean come on, we deserve more than Dumbledore and Grindelwald were extremely active together.
About the fanbase, I feel like there are always people who want to gatekeep HP. Like "you've only seen the movies, you're not an actual fan".
I also don't like how some things are just not questioned by many and I think many people like to overlook some characters' flaws. Like e.g. Luna is not the perfect quirky queen okay? She has bad sides too

Lack of diversity in the books, JKR and the transphobes in the fandom

Exactly, but if they're a jerk while knowing the consequences and how they hurt others that's not ok.
I agree with what's been said above 👀
JKR obviously. The terrible diversity and the weird relationships that came out of nowhere so people would think the characters were straight (looking at you, Remadora) and the way Snape was made out to be this saviour type and all his bad actions and decisions were forgiven just because he "loved" Lily.
Y'all, there's no reason to hate JKR for having an opinion. So she believes certain things. Everyone's entitled to an opinion regardless of what you think about it.
If she's hurting people (and I mean actually hurting) then obviously that's something that should be dealt with, but if all somebody says is "oh yeah I don't actually personally agree with that" then I'm gonna move on with my life.
No, she invalidated all trans people. That's not an opinion, that's hate speech
^ Ok I need someone to explain to me the whole "valid" thing because like ofc their lives are valid, they're human beings, but it seems like it's some special thing and I don't understand it lol
Not at all being rude I'm genuinely trying to understand lol
Invalidating someone would be telling a man that they're a woman, even though they're a man. Or telling a gay person that they're straight. Basically transphobia and homophobia
What do you think?
