Today's riddles:
RIDDLE #1 (answered)
True, I was rude to those unhappy with me
But in the end, I went to work
Before that, a decision caused me uncertainty
Though it worked, it didn't go the way I'd imagined
Who am I?
Hint: They're in the main series and are a female human. The average Potterhead would know them. She was of age when she first met Harry and has been married. She's on the protagonists' side.
Those unhappy with her are male, and they were unhappy because the answer did something they didn't want her to do, which was related to work they had previously done. They weren't really around her age.
RIDDLE #2 (answered)
You may know me for contributing to a rivalry
Though not the one most prominent elsewhere
My actions led to something still there today
But they also negatively impacted another
Who am I?
Hint: They're not in the main series. Their gender is unknown, and so is their name (we don’t know any part of it). They do not have a wiki page, at least not one that I could find. They're in a companion book, but not the FB textbook.
RIDDLE #3 (answered)
An elaboration of my consumption was withheld by one
Causing frustration and impatience for another
I have been noted especially for a number
And while it's not typical, I have taken breath
What am I?
Hint: This was in the first half of the main series, though it also appeared elsewhere in the series. It's possible to hold this in your hand. I wouldn't consider it food or drink. Harry has interacted with this. You can't buy this. It has been at Hogwarts. It may be possible to consume this like knowledge, but that wasn't what I had in mind.
The number is less than 50.
This is not a repeat riddle.
RIDDLE #4 (answered)
Led by a new sight that surprised me,
I wanted to search for answers
I later acted on something another refused to do
And my idea was improved on by somebody else
Who am I?
Hint: Harry has not spoken to them. The only places the answer was mentioned was on Pottermore/WW and a video game (I wouldn't pay attention to the video game though). They’re magical and are a deceased male human. I doubt the average Potterhead would know them. They were born over 100 years ago. They haven't written a book. We know their full name. I would assume they went to Hogwarts. Their death is from an unrelated cause. They're British. They were not on a card. They have worked at the Ministry at some point. They're not a dark wizard. I would say that they did invent something.
They got their idea from the sight. The sight showed something negative. It had to do with something that was significant in PoA. I don't think the sight involved violence.
They didn't manage to successfully find an answer, but the "somebody else" in line 4 did. The answer wanted to find a solution to improve the negative sight he saw.
The action was to make a start on the idea they had
The person in line 4 is first mentioned in OotP and I would say they're significant. The idea benefitted several people that all had something in common.
They have a wiki page. Not everything in this riddle came from Pottermore (the exception, line 4, came from an interview, though the answer himself wasn't mentioned in the interview).
RIDDLE #5 (answered)
Lastly, I showed a change in what was previously done
Causing relief and excitement for several
I marked an end to what was known to be the most
And I've led to pride from another
What am I?
Hint: This is in the first half of the main series (PS/SS or PoA) and not in a companion book. This is not tangible. I would say that this isn't magical. Harry has interacted with this. It's related to Quidditch and could be considered an event.
The "another" is male. The previously done thing had been done many times before. You could say that both the thing that was previously done and the answer are two incarnations of a general thing. The change could be positive or negative depending on your point of view. The "most" isn't necessarily the most that actually existed, but it's the most we know of. The "most" all existed within the year of each other.
It's not only in the main series and was mentioned in Pottermore. This has a wiki page.
The subject isn't super obvious nor super obscure.

Well, here we are. The last five daily riddles.
These may seem ordinary at first glance, but there are many references and easter eggs hidden in them. It's your mission to find them as well as solve the riddles themselves (though finding them is just for fun and won't count for any points)- if you think you understand what a riddle/part of a riddle is about, then put your thoughts below XD
Note: All the events in the riddle, as well as the subjects, are things in the HP universe, and would theoretically be solvable by somebody that doesn't know about any events from the riddles. However, there's also another side to each riddle that represents something that did happen in the riddles.
Today will also determine the winner of this season, so good luck everybody, and have fun! Remember that you're allowed to guess twice today.
