If Ron's "Sunshine daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow" spell had worked on Scabbers, wouldn't Pettigrew be yellow? Would Wormtail be able to "shed" the coloring once he changed back, or no?

There isn’t really an answer because it wasn’t a real spell. Ron should have been suspicious when the spell was a rhyme in English instead of one or two words in Latin.
