1. Idk. I'm currently reading Heroes Of Olympus and It's been a while since I read the Harry Potter books to be able to give a real opinion on the books. But I do think Percy is easier character to like at first than Harry.

2. I always thought he was well-liked. I think people just want to be different and dislike the main character.

3. If you mean in terms of loyalty to the source material, but I do think they are good movies, and I do think HP fans, and the actors, got lucky with the movies

5. I do find it odd for them to be religious, especially Christian/Catholic because of the whole witch-hunt, which drove them into hiding. But if they are muggle-borns/half-blood is not that odd. Someone mentioned they celebrating Christmas, I think only if the person is religious they would celebrate for religious reasons. I think most people today don't celebrate because of that.
