I sat down in an empty compartment. “Bexley!!” my older sister, Fay, called. “Bexley, are you in there?”. “Yes.” I muttered quickly. The compartment door slid open and I saw Fay. “Bexley, there is no reason to worry.”. I gulped that’s what my Mum had been telling me all summer, and yet here I was, still scared. “B-b-b-but what if I’m not in Ravenclaw?!” I whimpered. I sat down and started to chew on my grey sweater. “That won’t matter.” Fay said strongly, pulling the sweater out of my mouth. I took a deep breath and Fay handed me a chocolate frog. “It’s ok,” I said, “I’m not hungry.”
When we got to Hogwarts, Fay left to go sit with the Ravenclaws. I was stuck with a bunch of people the same age as me. People I didn’t know. A girl with red hair bumped into me. “Oh, sorry! I didn’t see you there!” she said, helping me up to my feet. “My name’s Ginny Weasley.” “Hmm. Huh?” I said, rubbing my head. “Oh, I’m Bexley Lim.” “Do you want to be friends?” Ginny asked. “Sure, why not?” I shrugged. We walked into a giant room with 4 tables. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. There was a hat on a stool and Professor Mcgonagall was holding a scroll. “Lovegood, Luna.” called Professor Mcgonagall. A blonde girl ran up to the battered-up hat and placed it on her head.
“Ravenclaw!” The hat called. Luna skipped to the Ravenclaw table where Fay was sitting. Fay already had a seat for me next to her. “Weasley, Ginny.” “Good luck!” I whispered to her. She smiled at me and ran to place the hat on her head. “Gryffindor!” The hat called. Ginny went to sit with a few other boys, they looked like her brothers. “Lim, Bexley.” My stomach lurched and I tumbled to the hat. “Hufflepuff.” a few students muttered. Fay slapped them. “She’s a Ravenclaw!”. I placed the hat on my head. “Hmm. A tricky one. You’ll belong in Ravenclaw, with brains like yours. But! You’re also brave, like a Gryffindor. Well, there is only one choice,” the hat said.
