If you know me I have been obsessed with Squid Game recently. I will attempt to sort the main characters into houses and why.

SPOILER WARNING IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE SHOW!!! IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS PLEASE DO NOT SCROLL DOWN.

Seong Gi-Hun(#456)

He is definitely a Hufflepuff. While he does not have much money he does whatever he can to make sure his daughter is happy. He was willing to help Saebyeok after learning about his situation. He was willing to give Il-Nam another chance to play. Overall he is a very caring and passionate person who was very loyal and played the game fairly.

Oh Il-Nam(#001)

Definitely a Slytherin. This guy orchestrated the whole thing and was very convincing. He also gives me Ravenclaw vibes but he is more of a Slytherin in my opinion.

Cho Sang-Woo(#218)

Slytherin without a doubt. He could also pass for a hatstall with Ravenclaw as well. He did whatever he could to win. He killed people in their sleep, tricked Ali into giving up his marbles while giving him fake ones, and he even took the easy shape during the Sugar Honeycomb game and convinced a few others to choose harder shapes. He was also very intelligent since he went to the top university in South Korea.

Ali Abdul(#199)

Hard choice but probably a Hufflepuff. He could pass for a hatstall with Gryffindor too. He cares about his family and does whatever it takes to provide for them. He did not go back to the game without making sure his family would be safe. During Red Light, Green Light he saved Gi-Hun from falling down even though he could put himself at risk.

Kang Sae-Byeok(#067)

I would have to choose Gryffindor however she could be a 4 way hatstall since she has some traits from all houses. She cares about her family and went to great lengths to ensure their safety, she outsmarted many people, and she was very cunning too. But the reason I choose Gryffindor is because of her bravery that was her most important quality in my opinion. She was willing to sneak into a vent to spy on staff and she could have died if she was caught.

Jang Deok-Su(#101)

Seriously? He is obviously a Slytherin. He only cares about himself and does not care about following the rules as long he lives. For example the glass bridge game, he refused to go and didn't care if anyone went before him. He even broke a promise to stick with Mi-Nyeo all because he cares about self-preservation.

Han Mi-Nyeo(#212)

I would have to choose Slytherin but she could pass for a hatstall with Gryffindor. She pretty much tricked people about her backstory. She even killed Deok-Su while killing herself in the process. In other words, she didn't care if she died as long as she got her revenge.

Hwang Jun-Ho

I would easily say Ravenclaw but he could be a 4 way hatstall aswell. He was very smart being a detective and he easily figured out how to sneak into the game while not being detected by game staff for a long time. It was also very brave that he risked his own life just to try and expose the illegal game and try to find out what happened to his brother. He cares about his brother.

The Front Man

I would say Ravenclaw but he could be a hatstall with Slytherin. He was very intelligent and knew how to outsmart his enemies while being very cunning and manipulative.
