Honestly it's gonna feel weird to see him being played by someone else, Johny's Grindelwald was iconic

I'll give the new guy a chance. He was really good in Casino Royale. But it doesn't change the fact that Depp was f*cking wasted in these movies.

Okay so, I get people are angry about the new guy playing grindewald, but as someone who knows what the filming industry is like (I’m training to go into it), I understand why they recast him, it takes ages to film a movie, and they’ve already had to stop productions due to covid before. So waiting to see if Depp’s allegations were true or not would have taken up a lot of time, and time is very very precious whilst filming. And even though he was proven innocent, to go back and refilm all of the other scenes would make the other actor feel like they’ve been made a mockery off and would also take way too long and probably go over the budget, don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Depp, but I get why we’ve got someone new

^ Majority, not all, I know he was in a lot of scenes before he was recast, but say, he was proven guilty of ab*se, how would that look on Warner Bros? And they needed to finish the movie as they have a set time period to film in, one that coincidentally was the same as these allegations and court. The producers and directors had to hire someone new because they didn’t know what the outcome would be, all they cared about was getting the film finished which was more important. Waiting for Depp to finish with court to see if they could still film with him would’ve taken up a lot more money. Which was my point in the first place
