@PotterHead2010G You know, I had seen the movie first before reading the book. And so I would’ve been content with the Dursleys first then Frank Bryce. But the Dursleys were omitted.

But had the Dursleys been in the movie, it should’ve been them first then Frank Bryce.

And besides, Harry would wake up from the dream in a good place: the Burrow. And not at the Dursley home in Privet Drive which is a bad place.

Absolutely every scene from the book was important plus the Dursleys scenes were crucial to the opening like every book not to mention they meet the Weasleys before Harry leaves for the world cup. Also this is where Fred and George test their product on Dudley so it would've been the first time we see their snacks on screen.

It would've been great to see the Dursleys in the film adaption but the screen writers didn't think they were important enough to include.
