Helena is everyone's crush. I knew it.
I particularly loved the insight about Alan Rickman that he treated the kids like an adult and took each of their idea seriously, spoke a lot about his character and his non judgmental nature I’m sure is what in part made him such an incredible actor, when I think about how much he would have loved to have been a part of this reunion it hurt. He was a very special soul. I’m glad they ended the reunion with him. He left behind a fantastic legacy.
Seeing Gary Oldman with Daniel was perfect, and the little detail about Alan knowing so much about what was coming for his character was amazing, and the way Gary laughed so heartily and with such fondness for Alan at this, I loved it. A lot, so bittersweet.
I don't know about others, but Rupert stood out to me the most in this reunion. He is so meditative, so insightful, so attentive to people around him, the way how he talked about his experience of playing Ron augmented my understanding of this character. I also find it ridiculous how it said ‘Ian Hart’ on the cast list but he only had one line to say, they didn't do him right.
But when Robbie Coltrane said 'in 50 years I won’t be here but Hagrid always will be’ that hurt so much. He was wonderful on this. Just like his character, it was incredible.
Anyways it was beautiful. I was wrong before about not liking it, I absolutely loved it.
