Because I’m in America... I can’t even read the Philosopher’s Stone, every copy I’ve ever seen is Sorcerer’s Stone.

Because of the wiki I hear PS more, around me, no one really mentions HP (irl). I like using PS more, because it is the original and it just sounds better, and the reason for changing the name of the book was the most American stupid reason ever.

A dumb American

I’m Australian, and here, for me anyway, we hardly ever see the ‘Sorcerer’s Stone’. My movie set, my book copy collection, any streaming site (such as Amazon Prime or Paramount+, because that’s what my family has), says ‘Philosopher’s Stone’.

I’ll be honest, when I first got into Harry Potter series, I got so confused seeing both ‘Sorcerer’s Stone’ and ‘Philosopher’s Stone’, but I worked it out eventually.

It was mainly because my ex-best friend always said ‘Sorcerer’s Stone’, whilst I used ‘Philosopher’s Stone’.
