I was introduced to Harry Potter by my father and at first I had no interest in it at all but as time went on and on, even months and years, I eventually became a huge fan and admirer of the entire franchise.

I remember the exact story to mine

When i was 8 i had gone out to a Chinese all you can eat buffet with my mum and stepdad to introduce him, and as a treat they decided to take me to Tesco's. I went in and was looking for a colouring book yet I found one that I liked the look of, I read the blurb and the first 5 pages right then and fell in love.

That book was the philosopher's stone and little did ik I would have read the rest of the books within like a month and reread it like a billion times

I am a SUPER fast reader and I remember one time in 4th or 5th grade I had nothing to read because I had already read every single book in my bookcase at least twice so my dad recommended I read Harry Potter and gave me his old copy he had recently found while going through a box in the attic(it was in surprisingly good condition for being at least 10-15 years old) and within a month I had read the entire series. I took the books everywhere( including Disney World) because I couldn’t put them down.

Someone tried to tell me that it was all evil when I was pretty young, but I finally read it almost three years later when I saw it in the library. It was amazing. I remember the moment I finished the last book: I was sitting on the bottom stair and sobbing my eyes out...

When I finished the first book I was in school and I was reading it right before dismissal

My dad had me watch the movies when I was younger, and then later took his books and read them. He made me watch the movies first before reading the books so my vision of the characters wasn't betrayed. And I'm grateful for that-

My parents read 1-2 to me when I was around 6 or 7, but I was little and lost interest. When I was 9 or 10 I picked up the third book and instantly requested the rest from the library. I told my brother about the ending of the sixth, I was so surprised. I don't even remember my first time reading DH, I read it so fast.

My two best friends as a kid loved Harry Potter and taught me some stuff about it. I thought it was 'okay' at first but liked other series more, but later on I started reading it again and loved it. Now here I am, typing some cringe junk on a HP fan site.

I was introduced Harry Potter by my friend and then after i got my first book in mother’s day (SS) i loved it and i was obsessed with the series.

I used to be a hater, then I fell into the world of Drarry and read fanfic, knowing the plot twists and character deaths before finally reading the books and becoming a Potterhead. Also I don't ship Drarry anymore.
