Being Chinese, Qillin is actually pronounced Qee Leen, not chillin. Qillin appeared in a lot of Chinese mythology, and is likely that the Qillin in Fantastic Beast is based on the one there.
A territory in China is called Jilin, which I always jumble them up
I noticed that Qilin looks like a Chinese myth animal or smt-
The Qilin (pronounced "Chillin") was a magical beast that lived in Kweilin, China.[1]
In the movies, they pronounce it chillin
^ exactly, op's saying that's incorrect
But they’re adorable either way 🥰🥰🥰
The Japanese pronounce is Kiren. Who cares, really, its a fictionalisation.
