As the title says.
Yes, the first 3 or 4 books were the original franchise before the movies, Pottermore, companion books, and the Fantastic Beasts films were released. But they are the most canon source of information
Um? Yes? Obviously.
They were what the movies were based off of.

^^ and ^^^ The issue is that in the page
, I failed to see the original seven novels in "Books" section, which leads me to ask this question.

I failed to see the original seven novels in "Books" sectionHere's a possible explanation in regards to that page: the introduction says the franchise centers "around the shared fictional universe of the films created by Warner Bros. in connection to the novels of J. K. Rowling", suggesting that the content considered to be part of the franchise doesn't include the novels themselves, but things related to the movies. (other titles listed on that page, like the video games and CC play, can be explained by the History section)
The Books section contains titles that are all based around the films, such as screenplays and behind-the-scenes books, with the exception of the Hogwarts Library books- which makes me wonder why those are there, since theoretically, they should be on the same level as the main series. Not completely sure about that part.
