Almost everything about her just screams Slytherin to me.

Cunning/resourcefulness: persuading her low-level father to drop out of sight, lying about her blood status to add to her reputation, taking credit for other people's work

Ambition: always working towards a higher position in the MoM

Determination: willing to do whatever it took so she could get what she wanted

Pride: never wanting people to point out her flaws/tell her she was wrong

True that she was also loyal and hardworking (I'm assuming that's why Mel picked Hufflepuff) but I just don't see those overtaking her very Slytherin traits
