Panicked, misty breath rose through the air. A dragging sound, accompanied by strange drips, cut through the dark.

The boots stopped outside a wall, paced three times, before diving into the door that materialized. They quickly shoved the body of the boy under a pile of furniture. They littered him with broken wands and ink bottles before pushing over a wardrobe, concealing him forever.

The axe, fresh with blood, was tossed onto a pile of banned books. Then the door creaked open again, and the person was gone.
