Riddle:
I gave a lot by giving only one
and led without leading.
I accused someone of an impossible feat
and surprised by meeting expectations.
Who am I?
Hints: The answer is a deceased wizard. He was an adult during the Main Series. The answer died during the second half of the MS.
The answer first appeared in the first half of the Main Series, but also elsewhere. Everything in this riddle is derived from the MS. Most Potterheads would know of this character.
The events of line 1 happened before the start of the MS timeline. It depends on your point of view if the 'one' is tangible, but I'm leaning to no. He shocked the people he was giving the 'one' to. The shock was negative at first, though they were eventually glad about what he gave them.
Line 2 has something to do with a vehicle. The info in this line was mentioned by someone famous.
The impossible feat has something to do with multiple species of animals, of whom only one is magical. That connection to animals is also what made the feat impossible. The feat had to do with a mistake the someone supposedly made. The someone is male and was an adult during the MS. The someone wasn't dead when he was introduced, but he died during the MS. The accusation was made to reinforce the someone's bad reputation.
The answer was the one meeting expectations. You could say that he surprised multiple people or that he surprised people in general. This line refers to the answer's death. The expectation was that he was going to be murdered.
