I don't think he was actually that good at Potions. I think it was just Snape's bias that made him seem like a good student
And about this:
To be in Hufflepuff you would need to be very kind, again, Draco is not.
That's not true. I'm pretty sure Hufflepuffs made the Potter Stinks badges. There was lots of mean Hufflepuffs
Draco isn’t remotely wise. Clever, maybe, but not wise.
No, it was actually Draco who made those badges. I wouldn't say that the Hufflepuffs were mean because it's understandable why they would wear the badges with everything that happened and how it wasn't fair but even if there are some mean Hufflepuffs there are still some traits they have that Draco doesn't have at all.
I also doubt that Snape was doing that for Draco and if I remember correctly it was said it was his best subject? I don't remember much but I still doubt that Snape would do that.
Snape would totally do that. Partly because staying on Lucius’ good side helped him in his role as a spy and partly because he’s a jerk. Although there were obviously other things going on, Draco wasn’t as good at potions under Slughorn. He did pass his OWL though, so he obviously has some competence.
Snape is canonical biased towards Slytherin and therefore Draco. Not to mention he's at least a little bit pureblood supremacist
I think he moved on from the pureblood supremacy after Lily died. The way he react ed to Phineas calling Hermione a mudblood suggests that that is a sore point for him.
I'd go for Gryffindor. I think it's because Draco was really proud and prideful. I assume it's one of the Gryffindor traits (right?). I could be wrong, but this is my reason.
The main Gryffindor trait is courage. And Draco is a total wuss.
@Icecreamdif You're not wrong, but in my opinion, bravery doesn't have to be the reason every Gryffindor is sorted into the said house. Maybe it can be rudeness, too (no offence to the Gryffindors, I love you all).
What do you think?
