Ok.. makes a little more sense. But why would you get banned bc you tried to join a hunt?

Because he was caught sneaking in after being declined - put that into modern day terms; you got banned from, let's say an arcade, and tried to sneak into said arcade. You would get arrested for breaking the law (breaking and entering, ban evasion) so the other headless ghosts are banning Nick from the Headless Hunt like they do every year, however in this case it seems he's been perm banned
