Is anyone else scared by the dementor's kiss?

A dementor sucks your soul out and leaves you with an empty body you can't move or talk. Does anyone else find that scary? Losing your soul should be the worst thing possible in the wizarding world. I'd be terrified of running into a Dementor knowing they can suck your souls and leave you immobile for eternity. The kiss really is a fate worse than death.

@Harrypotter394 Well, if the Dementors sucked out a wizards magic instead of thier soul, Muggle borns would have the excuse that one of thier parents or both had thier magic sucked out of them, and wouldn't be tortured by the ministry in the last book

@Harrypotter394 it was mostly a joke. For starters, I don't believe that there is such thing as a 'soul' beyond it being a social construct. I do not mean to start a philosophical debate here, though.

@The Eye of Ender-2 You do realize that the corrupted Ministry didn't care whether a muggleborn was a witch/wizard or not, right? They were just looking for any excuse to bully people. Besides, the idea of both of someone's parents being victims of dementors is a little far fetched.
