His wife died sometime in or before 1981. After the first war, Remus didn't want to disturb his father's peaceful life, so he didn't live with him but did visit him.

I wonder what he did in second wizarding war if he was alive, which i think he had to be. And if he survived that did he meet his grandson Teddy and see him grow up?

I like to imagine him being there for his grandson. We know Teddy had support from Harry and Andromeda, but having Lyall would be great too.
