Riddle #1 (created by LectorMagnificus) (answered)
I am known to have a way with words,
but numbers are not my strength.
I may have saved someone with experience
from another seemingly unable to learn from theirs.
Who am I?
Hints: The answer wasn't in the Main Series books, the Cursed Child or Pottermore, but is in at least one video game, including at least 1 Lego game, and in one MS film, namely PoA. The answer is male. He interacted with Harry. He wouldn't be alive without magic. He was only seen outside Hogwarts.
The answer has made a mistake with numbers.
The someone is female, She has much experience in life.
The another is male.
Riddle #2 (created by LectorMagnificus) (answered)
I was once used to escape from eternity
and was considered after eternity may have been invoked.
I was ignored when someone was seen fulfilling an eternal wish
and it takes work to make me last eternally.
What am I?
Hints: The answer was in the Main Series books, but not all of them. The answer is in at least one MS movie, but not in the Cursed Child. The answer is tangible, but not sentient. The answer is an object. It can be bought in Diagon Alley. There is more than one of the answer. We know its creator and the creator is female. The answer was used by a Death Eater. It has been extensively used at Hogwarts. Harry owned the answer. The answer is a book.
The eternity in line 1 could be seen as an eternity of punishment. This happened in Hogwarts Mystery, while all other lines are from the MS.
If the eternity in line 2 has been invoked, then it was done cryptically. This is closely tied to love. It refers to a rather popular theory. The Death Eater I mentioned earlier is in line 2. This happened in PS.
The someone is male and very well known to Potterheads. He made his wish very clear. The wish was exploited for nefarious purposes. This happened in PS.
I doubt this could actually last eternally, but the work would be repair work. If it is well maintained, this could survive for a very long time. I don't think this incarnation was particularly well maintained, and it was used a lot, hence the repair work. The repair work was done by someone very close to Harry.
Riddle #3 (created by CHT64) (answered)
I was chosen among others to move forward,
though my excitement had once pushed three others back.
In more ways than one, I was told to move up,
but years ago, I'd foolishly taken things down.
Who am I?
Hints: They were in both halves of the main series (not in FB films) and are male. He's interacted with Harry. He's not part of the DA or Hogwarts faculty, and he's good. He was an adult throughout the MS. Both lines 2 and 4 were taken from the first book.
There are less than 10 of the others in line 1. The answer chose to be part of this group.
The three others literally moved back. One is female; two are male (one of which was Harry).
Line 3 happened in the second half. The one telling the answer to move up is well-known in the wizarding world.
Line 4 was foolish because it almost revealed something that wasn't meant to be revealed. Muggles know about the things that were taken down. This happened during the first book.
Riddle #4 (created by CHT64) (answered)
I made a customary task impossible,
breaking a rule unknown to me.
I led to the negative reputation of one
and my secret was discovered when I tried to hide.
Who am I?
Hints: They're not in the main series or FB films, but in the FB textbook. Gender is unknown. The customary task involves a certain spell (but not Dark). "One" does not refer to a single person, but a place. The negative reputation was related to the rule-breaking. The secret had to do with their identity. Line 4 happened in their own home.
Riddle #5 (created by Eaglewarrior33) (answered)
I once aided a detective
Successfully extracting valuable information
Yet not until after many attempts of failure
At the same time I was forbid from millions
What am I?
Hints: The answer was in the Main Series books, but not in the movies or CC. It's not magical. Everything but line 4 is in the MS.
The detective was an adult male who died in the Main Series.
The information was about a person.
The answer was forbidden because of a law created at that time.
