@Cometspace According to the article page “Soul” on the editing side of the Fandom network, it says it is unknown what happens to it once a dementor sucks it out. I personally believe that once the dementor consumes it, it is instantaneously obliterated once and for all. And without an existing soul, one certainly cannot reincarnate or move on to the afterlife. Due to my assumption, I myself voted on being tortured to insanity because at least when I die I can either be reborn or face a different fate (heaven, hell, purgatory, limbo, etc.) after death.
