Six. The Half-Blood Prince was perfect.

In terms of faithfulness to the books, I'd say the first two; they feel almost perfectly transferred from page to screen. (And Chamber of Secrets, in particular is one of my favorites of the movies).

But out of these it’s two

I think Goblet of Fire is the best movie adaptation.

Ps and cos are the best ones equally as they are the closest to the books.

100% 6 I feel like considering it’s a relatively long book They fitted so much in!

As someone who started the book series (finished 1-3) in middle school (2001-2003ish) > watched the movies 8-10+ times throughout the last 20 years > currently reading the books for the first time (as an adult) WHILE re-watching the movies - the best adaptations are the first 3 books/movies. I know it’s not plausible/feasible, but they should have split the movies into 2 parts starting w/ Goblet of Fire. I feel like that’s when the movies REALLY started skimping on details/major plot points.

It makes no sense squeezing 1000+ pages into one movie when the previous movies only had to cope with 300-400 pages and barely squeeze that in.
